The deposit must be paid immediately to secure the date of the function. 

In the event that the deposit is not paid before this time, The Water Rat Hotel has the right to terminate the function plans.

The confirmation of the number of guests must be made seven days prior to the date of the function.

If number decline within the final seven days, the confirmed number will be charged.

If payment is not finalised at the conclusion of the function, the outstanding amount will be charged to the nominated credit card on the Booking Agreement.

Function Deposit
A deposit of $500.00 is required to confirm each function.
This can be paid by Credit Card, Company Cheque, Bank Cheque or in person with cash or EFTPOS. Personal cheques will not be accepted.

The deposit is non refundable if cancellation is made outside the cancellation conditions outlined below.

The deposit may be used to re-book an alternate date if cancellation is made outside ninety days.

The total cost of the food portion of the event must be paid in full five days prior to the function, unless the deposit itself covers the food costing.

Cancellation
In the event that a function is to be cancelled, the following guidelines will apply:
1. Where a function is cancelled outside ninety days prior to the date of the function, the deposit will be refunded in full.
2. Where a function is cancelled between sixty-one to ninety days prior to the date of the function, the client forfeits the deposit.
3. Where a function is cancelled between thirty-one to sixty days prior to the date of the function, the client forfeits the deposit and a fee of 25% of the estimated function total will apply.
4. Where a function is cancelled between one to thirty days prior to the date of the function, the client forfeits the deposit and a fee of 50% of the estimated function total will apply.

Prices
Prices in the function information package are correct at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice.

All prices are inclusive of G.S.T.

Room Allocation
The Water Rat Hotel reserves the right to assign another room for the function if necessary.

Responsible Service of Alcohol
The Water Rat Hotel practices Responsible Service of Alcohol.

We reserve the right, without liability, to refuse the supply of alcohol to any guests or patrons it deems necessary.

Due to The Water Rat's liquor licence, the outdoor deck closes at 11pm.

Responsibility
The Water Rat Hotel does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of any patron’s property left on the premises prior to, during or after the conclusion of a function.

The client is financially responsible for any damage to the venue or its surroundings caused by themselves, their guests or outside contractors.

In the instance where damage has occurred, all associated costs will be charged to the nominated credit card.

The client is required to inform all relevant persons involved in the organization of the function, whether colleagues or contractors, of The Water Rat Hotel’s Terms and Conditions.

Prohibitions
No food or beverages are permitted to be brought onto the premises unless authorized by The Water Rat Hotel Management.

No pyrotechnics, smoke machines or additional lighting are to be brought onto the premises unless authorized by The Water Rat Hotel Management.

Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door, ceiling or fixture of the building unless authorized by The Water Rat Hotel Management.

No confetti, flower petals, rice or metallic sprinkles are to be used on or around the premises unless authorized by The Water Rat Hotel Management.

Security
The Water Rat Hotel reserves the right to request the client to provide mandatory security for any function it deems necessary.

If security for a function is provided through The Water Rat Hotel, the client is to cover the costs involved.

Smoking Policies
All indoor areas of The Water Rat Hotel are non smoking.

Smoking is only permitted outside the building or on the first floor outdoor deck.
