The Water Rat Hotel Function Rooms 

The Water Rat Hotel function rooms have been specifically designed to cater for a variety of uses. Our function rooms can be opened up to one large room or partitioned off to form three separate function areas. All rooms are extremely flexible and can be set up into a variety of formations to cater to your specific needs.

The first floor includes its own private bar, smoking area and toilets.

The Crystal Bar and Deck

Tucked away behind the busy South Melbourne streets, lies one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets. The Crystal Bar and Outdoor Deck is perfect for product launches, birthday celebrations, engagement parties, wedding receptions or barbeques and can cater for up to one hundred and fifty people.

The Sapphire Room

The Sapphire Room overlooks Moray Street, South Melbourne, and provides a more intimate feel for your function. Whilst still being able to be utilised for small corporate meetings, this room can cater for up to fifty people for cocktail functions and intimate, private dinners for small groups of up to thirty people.

The Emerald Room

The Emerald Room overlooks Park Street, South Melbourne, and can cater to small groups for conferences and seminars, or groups of up to sixty for cocktail functions. The Emerald Room is equipped with a state of the art sound system, with a ceiling mounted video/data projector and can be utilised as a private dining room if required.

Entire First Floor

The entire first floor can be hired for functions of up to three hundred and fifty people for cocktail styled engagement parties, weddings, Christmas parties, birthdays or work functions.
